I see you. You're angry with the world, with the patriarchal systems set up by men. You're the minority in every room you are in; at work, in class, in your social circles, even at home.
You are angry that the world hasn't been setup to embrace differences
You're angry you cannot feel safe anywhere! Not going for a walk, not catching public transport, not even in our own homes.
You're so sick of being punished and judged for simply being yourself and expressing yourself genuinely!
You see just how deeply the queer and trans community are effected by this system, how LGBTIQA+ people experience homelessness at more than twice the rate of the general Australian population.
And most of all you're faced with the deep grief of being part of a minority and watching as our community is abused, at the hands of violence and murdered.
You crave something deeper, something raw, something fucking real in this world of oppressive systems and so called diviseness.
A space where you can truly come alive, where you feel safe, seen and held. Where you don't have to minimise ANY part of yourself, a place you can simply show up and be accepted.
Where you enter the room and the people in it say 'yes you are so welcome here', where they hear your frustrations with being queer or trans or both and relate, they hold space for your anger. Hell they even encourage you to let that sacred rage out
The western world has drilled into us how we should express our anger. To be palatable. To be kind, to be forgiving in the face of such devastation and oppression. To be meek and 'take it with a smile'.
But no fucking more. What if there was a space that held you in that sacred rage, to not only feel it and process it but to alchemise it. To turn it into something truly powerful.
Join us for this special hexing the patriarchy event, where we get fucking mad at the men who set up this patriarchal society and we use our DEEPLY POWERFUL collective energy to hex them into oblivion.
There is a REASON they keep us underfunded, underrepresented and united, its because they KNOW when we get together we are truly a force to be reckoned with.
